Start-up Registration (Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion)
Start-up India catalyses start-up culture and builds a strong and inclusive ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship in India. The Start-up India Action Plan was launched on 16th January 2016 to support entrepreneurs, build up a robust start-up ecosystem, and transform India into a country of job creators instead of job seekers. The Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT) acts as the nodal Department for coordinating the efforts of all Central Government Departments and State Governments for carrying this plan forward.
The start-ups under DIPP registration can get exemption from income tax payment for 3 consecutive years from the date of incorporation. Start-up India Registration DPIIT is mandatory for start-ups established in India to avail of tax benefits, concessions on IPR filing, and reduced compliances.
